The Broker Pre Licensing class is designed to prepare you for a successful career in real estate. The completion of the 75 hour course and passing of the final exam is a requirement for most people to be eligible to take the NC real estate licensing exam. The Broker Pre Licensing course covers basic real estate principles and practices. The course will cover brokerage law, property tax, real estate financing, closings, brokerage relationships and practice, contracts and other topics.
The Broker Pre Licensing course is a demanding course designed for those serious about entering the real estate brokerage business, this course is reading intensive and will require substantial study outside of class. Our dedicated and knowledgeable instructors are there for you every step of the way.
Textbooks are not included in the cost of tuition. The required textbook for the prelicensing course is the Modern Real Estate Practice in North Carolina 10th Edition. If you do not already have a copy of the required textbook, you can purchase either a hardcopy of the textbook or a digital eBook version from our Online Bookstore. If you purchase the hardcopy of the textbook, your textbook will be sent directly to your mailing address. If you purchase the digital eBook version, a link to download the eBook will automatically be sent to your email after payment is received.

We also offer an audio book guide for the NC Real Estate Exam, giving you the ability to turn your car, gym or couch into a classroom.
During the July 2019 – June 2020 license year, Intracoastal Real Estate Academy had 13 students take the license examination for the first time within 30 days of the Broker Prelicensing Course completion date. 6 of those students passed, resulting in a 46% pass rate on the North Carolina license examination.
